107 MUNICIPALITIES SELECTED FOR 2024 AS “JAPAN’S ANIME MECCA” TO VISIT
The Anime Tourism Association recently unveiled the 2024 edition of “88 Japanese Anime Holy Lands You Should Visit.” The selection process involved public voting from June to October 2023, along with collaboration with work rights holders and local government officials. The 2024 edition features 87 works, 26 facilities, 2 events, and 107 local governments.
Newly added entries for the 2024 edition include:
- “That dress-up doll falls in love” / Saitama City (Iwatsuki), Saitama Prefecture, Toshima Ward, Tokyo
- “An angel has descended upon me! Precious Friends” / Nagatoro Town, Saitama Prefecture
- “Edomae Elf” / Chuo-ku, Tokyo
- “Bocchi the Rock!” / Setagaya-ku, Tokyo
- “GAMERA -Rebirth-” / Fussa City, Tokyo
- “Do It Yourself!! -Do Itto Yuaserufu-” / Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture
- “Bull Buster” / Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture
- “GAMERA -Rebirth-” / Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture
