The theme park “Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter,” built on the site of the former amusement park “Toshimaen,” celebrated its first anniversary on the 16th. Local shopping associations and others are holding various events to continuously revitalize the area.

On the 16th, the “Toshimaen Burari Festival” was held at Nerima Castle Park in Tokyo, sponsored by the Nerima ward and other organizations. About 10 stores, including local merchants, opened stalls selling castella and other products, and a digital stamp rally was also held, where visitors could get a key chain of “Nerimaru,” the ward’s official anime character, dressed as a wizard, by visiting photo spots. 

Local restaurants and other establishments have continued to make efforts to encourage visitors to explore the area, such as offering original menus with a magical theme and setting up new photo spots.

Starting on the 16th, Toshimaen Shopping Association and each store will distribute about 40 original coasters with the names of Studio Tour Tokyo, affiliated stores of the shopping association, local businesses, etc. At the festival venue, students from the Cosplay Research Club of Nihon University College of Art handed out coasters to promote the event.
