BUREAU OF CUSTOMS LAUNCHES E-CUSTOMS AT MANILA AIRPORT
The Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) recently launched the E-Travel Custom System at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, streamlining entry and exit procedures for passengers and crew.
This electronic system revolutionizes baggage and currency declarations, integrating multiple institutions’ systems into a seamless digital platform. Collaborating entities include the Bureau of Customs, Immigration, Central Bank, and the government’s Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) and Department of Information and Communications Technology.
By centralizing border control procedures online, it simplifies processes, enhances health inspections, and aids economic data analysis. Improved information access enables effective risk assessment by the Customs Bureau, supports anti-money laundering efforts, and ensures financial stability.
